We have started our trip to Europe. Here is my wife Carol with our three grandchildren in St. Louis. She has just shown them a new web site for children that is fascinating to help them to learn to read starfall.com/
We have stopped off to help tend the grand kids while our son Steven and his wife Sara go on a cruise for their 10th wedding anniversary.

The first night we
camped out everyone started out in tents, but when the rain started those in the smaller tent had to re treat to the house because it wasn't waterproof. The bigger tent held 8 kids, four on each side. The kids continued to camp out the next three nights. (different ones each night.)
All of the kids had a great time swimming and the older ones went down the slide.
None of them wanted to quit, but after they had had a great swim it was time to get them out .
Our second day adventure was a grand hike around Silver Lake. We expected it to be warm, but it turned out to still be a little cool. The kids didn't seem to mind, they just had a wonderful time playing in the snow drifts!
Here's the whole gang posing at the half way point.
Jordan brought his Zome building set and the older 6 had a lot of fun creating in their spare time.
On
Monday we went to a neighbors home and went swimming and miniture golfing. The kids had a blast! The pool was huge and had a slide and all the toys to play with. The miniture golf was a full nine holes and they paired off and each started on a different hole and then did the whole coarse.
one night I asked for hugs and kisses. Brandon went and gave Rebekah a kiss and Jordan said "aww" in a longing kind of way. Rebekah immediatly jumpped over and gave him a kiss, caught on film by Lynn.
Art Class was held in the wash room. Every one had their own pictures and places and could go back any free time durning the week. Several finished.
